A Note About My Blog

I started my blog back in 2019 as a way to share about my writing process and connect with readers. Then, the pandemic hit and I shifted focus, using the blog as a platform to help picture book authors promote their work while the world was shut down. I’ve had so many wonderful authors on the blog over the past two years. They’ve shared countless tips and insights into their own processes.

While the pandemic isn’t over (at least at the time of this posting), the world has opened back up. Publishing delays have slowed and authors are able to engage in more in-person events. And, during this time, my very first book came out, too!

I decided to put the blog on pause in the months leading up to the release of my debut picture book. Since then, I’ve been working on some new (exciting!) projects. I’m also now offering professional critiques. (You can learn more about that by visiting the ‘Critique Services’ tab.) But there’s only so much time in a day, so something has to give. While I’ve loved working with authors to create this blog over the past two years, it feels like time to move on.

You can still peruse all the past posts here. (Please do!) The authors who have visited this space over the years have so much wisdom to share. I’m grateful to each and every one of them for being a part of this journey. Happy Reading!
