Storytimes

Interested in having me join you at a local event? Choose from the following packages for a $200 fee, then reach out via my contact form with the subject line “Storytime”. (Note that distances further than 40 miles will incur an additional travel fee.)

Storytime + Craft: I’ll read one of my picture books (your choice) + lead attendees in a fun craft or activity sheets associated with the book.

Storytime + Q&A: I’ll read one of my picture books (your choice) + do a 30-minute Q&A.

It is important to me to support the local community; therefore, I offer a limited number of free library storytimes each year. For a free storytime, the library must be located within 30 miles of me. Reach out via my contact form to make a request.

Note that if you are a local bookstore looking to have me for a traditional reading and signing, the above rate does not apply. Please reach out using the contact form to discuss.

 

School Visits

I am able to provide a limited number of school visits per year. If you’re interested in having me, please reach out as far in advance as possible. You can send a message via my contact form with the subject line “School Visit”.  (Note that travel to schools further than 40 miles away will incur an additional fee.)

Each school visit includes:

  • An age-appropriate presentation about how I started writing (tailored to grade level)
  • The behind-the-scenes of making a book
  • An interactive read-aloud of one of my picture books (your choice)
  • Q&A session

Rates are as follows:

  • Single in-person visit: $300
  • Full-day in-person visit (3 presentations + book signing if desired): $800
  • Single virtual visit: $150
  • Full-day virtual visit (3 presentations): $400

Please note that I try to participate in World Read Aloud Day each year, offering free virtual 15-minute readings that also include time for a brief Q&A, plus some of my favorite book recommendations. If you are interested in booking me for World Read Aloud Day, reach out via my contact form. Please only reach out during the request period for the event; I am not able to honor early requests.
